Caroline Randall Williams

I met Caroline about 15 years ago when I started coming down to Nashville. My boyfriend at the time was writing a book with her mother Alice, and Alice would invite us over for sumptuous meals and regale us with her many stories of old Nashville and its inhabitants. At the time, Caroline was in her last year of high school, gunning for Harvard, full of ambition and guts, and the most fun teenager I have ever hung out with. It has been a thrill to witness her epic growth--watching as she creates incredible work that resonates with so many and becomes a superstar poet and lady about town. Caroline rocks. That is all.

Of all the pictures that Heidi Ross took of my muses, this particular shoot was just amazing. Heidi has a way of putting anyone at ease and bringing out their joy and beauty. I had a hard time picking my very favorite pictures. Heidi, you are wonder. And Caroline, you are beautiful, and the world is lucky to have your wisdom and verve.
